Primary 4 Programme
Sharpening Problem-Solving Skills
As the curriculum becomes more challenging, Primary 4 focuses on analytical thinking and structured problem-solving. Our lessons guide students to approach longer questions with clarity and precision.
Academic Year 2026 Calendar
Mathematics:
Lesson Duration: 2 hours
Class Size: 8 students
Topics include decimals, advanced fractions, angles, and multi-concept word problems. Students practice model-drawing, systematic working, and analytical reasoning — building strong problem-solving skills for upper-primary levels.
-
Content Mastery
Students will master foundational concepts in Number Sense, Four operations, Ordinal Numbers, Money, Length, Time, 2D Shapes, Patterns and Picture Graphs
Students will apply heuristics such as Make A List, Draw a Diagram and Restate the Problem to solve word problems
Skills and Techniques
Students will present word problems pictorially by drawing part-whole and comparison models
Students will apply heuristics including Make A List, Find A Pattern and Restate the Problem in problem solving
Students will use different measuring tools such as measuring tape and ruler to measure lengths and use a ruler to draw line segments
Students will develop critical thinking skills through topical challenging problems and Math Olympiad handouts
Applied Learning
Students will use manipulatives and in-class activities to carry out performance tasks in class, such as collecting data from classmates to apply to graph plotting and data analysis exercises
Students will revisit concepts using our in-house concept cards kit, termly story-based revision booklets and takeaways
Students will appreciate the real-life application of Math through arts, crafts and presentations such as presenting the designed architecture based on the concept of shapes and patterns

Mr. Isaac is a passionate and dedicated Mathematics educator with over 10 years of teaching experience across both Primary and Secondary levels. A statistics graduate from the National University of Singapore (NUS), he combines strong analytical expertise with a student-centred approach that prioritises true understanding over rote memorisation.
Believing that mastery begins with clarity, Mr. Isaac focuses on helping students grasp concepts deeply rather than simply memorising steps. His lessons are designed to equip learners with problem-solving strategies, enabling them to approach even the most challenging, non-routine questions with confidence and precision.
